ABUS offers the original part as a dummy - for 27 € :).

Best regards,
TomTom.

:Disch krisch Augenkrebs:D

could you reduce the image size, my computer doesn’t have enough RAM and is struggling

And something on the topic. Then I might consider something with a panic function! At the push of a button, for example. Full lighting inside and outside. Siren on, possibly close the shutters, etc.

OH, YES!!!!

AND THE TRIGGER IN THE CHILD'S ROOM :D!

Doesn't bother anyone anyway because of the isolated location. And closed shutters work both ways :p.

If it's panic, then a panic room - but that's not optimal in case of fire either.

LG, TomTom.

Watched too many Hollywood movies? How many normal home builders actually have a panic room? It's not just about having a special "panic" room! Besides the costs and extra space. I don't believe what Karlsberg writes, that he wants a panic room, right?

When do you lower your shutters? At least I do when it gets dark and before someone is in the house! Whether he triggers the shutters with such a button has to be decided on site and according to personal preference. It was just an incentive since such things are often integrated in alarm systems. I know it from my neighbors, they can turn all the lights on at the push of a button. I think that already provides some safety for some people if it's not dark inside and everything outside is visible. And then the siren goes off.... And you could also integrate a GSM module that sends you a text message (without immediately involving the police or emergency services).

Get advice from an alarm system company or something like that; they definitely know more about it.

That sounds good. I don’t need a panic room since we’re neither stars nor rich or anything. We don’t have stalkers either. I can’t do a watchtower and moat with drawbridge because of space. However, I’ve thought about asking the US Air Force stationed in the neighboring town (Ramstein) if they could do control flights in the evening :p

No, just kidding. Dummy sounds good. The shutters go down when it gets dark. I will work with motion detectors + lighting in the garden. That only deters moderately because of the non-visible property. And I’ll have a professional company advise me on the rest.

By the way, I would get along well with the neighbors, maybe they will always keep an eye on your house. That often helps more than technical devices.
