Victims are also very different. For me, the worst thing was that I had to fix the crap again and deal with the running around with the insurance. I slept as well as ever, but I would not make it easy for potential burglars voluntarily because of that.

If you want to do most of it, your budget is probably not enough. Likewise, construction with a general contractor [GU] is not necessarily suitable. We are then talking about doors and windows that cost five digits each, cameras four digits or more… Therefore, you need to be clear about what you want and what you need for your subjective security. Security always consists of an overall concept with multiple layers.

Oh yes, remember that burglars do not necessarily enter the house. Unfortunately, personal experiences from the last 6 years: - Theft of grill (expensive) and fire bowl as well as wine barrel from the garden (while we were sitting in the house in front of the TV, stolen goods had to be carried by hand through a forest) - Break-in in garden shed and garden tools stolen (but they were so stupid and got caught at the neighbor’s because they went through sheds and garages) - Break-in in garage, took everything that fit into the car => not a single time into the house, but took the easy way

It's not about taking something like that lightly; you misunderstand me. However, there is no objective "reasonable" here.
No one wants to experience that... whatever you plan, there will be different perspectives on it; there is no right or wrong in this area.

I think if you want to feel safe and invest money in doors, windows, etc., you should not neglect the exterior wall. What use is the best protection at the door and window if you can simply get through the YTong with a screwdriver
