Hello, do you really have to have household insurance? I would rather save that money, because when it comes to a damage claim, the insurance companies avoid paying anyway. Am I wrong or am I seeing this correctly? I know some cases where people didn't get any money!

Hello, in case of damage like fire or something similar, the household insurance will pay for the damage. It is worth it if you have expensive things, even if you have devices like a laptop in the apartment, a pretty high damage can occur. Think about what you would have to spend if just the furnishings of one room get destroyed!!!

Hello,
water once got into my basement and my household insurance paid for everything that was in the basement. If I imagine that I suddenly would have had to buy a dryer, a washing machine, and a freezer, it would not have been so easy financially. I was already glad that I was so well insured.

When you have just furnished an apartment, there is a lot of money tied up. Estimate it, imagine you had to buy everything new! Who has that much money in the bank, well, not me! I’d rather have an insurance that I never need than have to pay for everything myself once!

Hello, I can only advise you to get insured. One time, a lot of water ran into my basement during rain. Within a few minutes, I had damage amounting to €20,000. The damage to the household contents alone accounted for more than half of that. I would not have been able to pay that without insurance.

So, I don't have any household insurance either, nothing has ever happened so far, and it seems that I don't need this insurance either. My furniture is no longer new, and if something breaks, the insurance probably wouldn't pay me anything for it.
