High-quality painting tool, which brand?

That's true. Only the paint from the home improvement store is better. The classic Alpina white, for example, splatters compared to other paints like Teufel. Schöner Wohnen is not better. Opacity is okay. I just painted with a Conti Siloxane paint. You wouldn't even need to cover the floor, it splatters so little. The consumption is also significantly lower than with Alpina and others.

So now my site manager told me I should better paint the utility room now before the heating comes because then you can't reach many places well anymore. I primed the walls and the ceiling with Sto Prim and painted them the next day with Sto Mineral. But even after the second coat, the result is not really good. I will probably have to paint a third time. Is that normal? I had already expected that with the concrete ceiling but also on the plaster? Or is the paint not very opaque?

In our neighboring construction project, the Sil In has just been painted, at least twice. In the living room even three times, because it still did not completely cover. In the south-facing living room, this is the most noticeable. Today we painted part of the utility room with a leftover paint from the neighbors. The second coat was applied wet-on-wet for time reasons; the meter cabinet will be installed tomorrow. We will inspect the result tomorrow. If it is not pleasing, my second construction mantra applies: It will be overlooked.

I completely agree regarding the brand when it comes to tools. It starts with Krepp (adhesive strength) and ends with brushes (brush hairs on the wall). In my opinion, this conclusion does not apply to paints. For example, the clay paint from Hornbach "Hausmarke" is excellent in terms of application and coverage - including little mess.
