Heat pump theft protection - Covered by building insurance?

Cut cables and pipes off, done? You’ll manage to fix it again where those things go.

So ours is screwed on. You have to unscrew it. Then just cut a live cable? Just cut a pipe filled with quite an unhealthy liquid, knowing you’ll surely get some of the liquid on you?

I did a little search. Very interesting what comes out of it...

Whether the typical thief in the residential area with a heat pump is doing the same, I still doubt. Sure, it will happen, but whether this is a huge issue now, it does not seem to be the case yet.

… they practically no longer exist. Everything is organized crime. However, whether there will be organized heat pump thefts in the future, I doubt it ;)

Sure, on long, unobserved stretches of track. Not in a residential area. These thefts take time. And for thieves in residential areas, it has to be quick. I don't believe this will become a big issue.

Got the tip that [die Mannheimer Versicherung] has a product called "Lumit." It would apparently be possible to insure the heat pump, as well as theft, among other things, through it.
