Well, that will also take a few hours, it doesn't go really fast. But faster than with the heat pump.

When I look at the development of fossil fuels and the development of electricity prices, the heat pump is immediately out. Not even politicians and their ideas can help...

And heat pump plus photovoltaic is a great solution. I also prefer to drive an S-Class instead of a Fiat Panda. Only catch is I can't afford it.

So a gas heating system is also crap, it doesn’t get warm quickly
And in the bathroom you also need the electric heater on the wall. I don’t turn up my gas heating a few hours before showering either...

The fact that heat pumps are often found in new buildings is due to climate policy. In the thermal insulation calculation, these were often far too poor. With the Energy Saving Ordinance 2014, the policy simply invented a new primary energy factor, since the efficiency of the heat pump no longer significantly improved. Now almost anyone can provide proof of thermal insulation with a heat pump.

100 years of poor efficiency remains poor efficiency.

Photovoltaics is a commercial investment and not better in terms of efficiency, storage is not solved.

Unless you store in batteries, but a contribution to climate protection.

Ultimately, one can only hope that something better will be available in the future and especially something more sustainable with a longer lifespan. Gas cannot score points here either,...

Theoretically, it makes sense because it produces more heat than pure electric heating, but it still remains an electric heating system. Air is a poor source medium. Better are deep drilling or ground collectors.

The investment is initially higher than with gas. A low flow temperature and large heating surfaces (underfloor or walls) are required. Some heat pumps can heat and cool. Photovoltaics can reduce electricity demand but in turn increase the investment.

With some home builders, you can get a ground source heat pump at no extra cost compared to gas. An additional solar collector like with gas can be omitted. We have a ground source heat pump with direct evaporator.
