In the past people said,
1 pinhead of white toothpaste,
then nothing is noticeable anymore

Choose fastening and location according to the weight, condition, and value of the object to be hung. Sometimes the object is more worth protecting than the wall surface.

you do have problems... A hole painted over with color, no one can see it anymore. I thought you had a small child? There are tiny holes in the walls, your least problems ;) I once forgot to turn off the hammer drill function on the drill, which is why half the brick came flying towards me. Even 3kg of Kukident won't help anymore. Fortunately, it happened to me at a friend's :) :)

The thread is really funny! I've never experienced anything like this here :D I suggest more basic threads: - which toilet paper do you use? - which chocolate spread do you eat for breakfast? and how often do you wipe your cooktop?

so the question is not entirely unfounded - anyone who has many pictures/artwork will sooner or later come to the question, picture rails yes or no.

I don't have insanely high-quality art right now, but I also don't want to damage my walls more than necessary. Basically, everything you hammer or drill in will probably be visible when you take it down. Our house looked pretty hammered up after moving out. I have to admit, I didn't care as much in the rental house, but in my own house, it somehow hurts to ding or hammer the walls. But I probably won't be able to avoid a few nail holes.

I'll probably hang up the most stuff in the retro gamer cave, including the most unusual things. I have these oversized bags with cool designs from Gamescom that I want to hang on the walls. I used to try that with Powerstrips, but they fell off the old house's textured wallpaper, probably because they were too heavy. I’ve now got these document clips for the office and L-shaped nails. I want to use the clips to hold the bags flat, then hang them on the clips with the nails. For my sword (from Devil May Cry), I’ve ordered curtain tiebacks. I hope that works. I’ll even have to drill for that.

Since I’ve already been able to gain some important information and insights from the thread, I don’t find it so pointless. I did see some connection to house building, even if somewhat distant, which is why I placed it here. I probably wouldn’t start a thread about bread spreads, simply because I wouldn’t know which subforum it would fit into. But I’m convinced that even with that topic, the forum community wouldn’t disappoint me. ♥
