Hang the coin deposit bank on the wall

This weekend it’s happening, painting and building.
My son is already busy screwing cabinets together in his room and a question arose for him.
The Besta storage bench is used both on the floor and in various combinations as a wall-mounted shelf in the new Besta catalog.
We are now building something like that too and will hang one of the benches at about 140 cm.
But what to do with the holes for the feet? You can see them *grumble*. Turning it upside down doesn’t help either, because you can also look at the top.
Is there some kind of cover for that? Has anyone ever hung the thing up and found a solution for it?
I remember that, for example, for high-gloss fronts in the kitchen there were covers for the large hinge holes so that the door could also be used as a pull-out pantry door. So they must have come up with something for the Besta foot holes as well.

As far as I know, there are no caps for that.
Solution A: Hang the cabinet higher so that they are not visible.
Solution B: Hang the cabinet lower so that they are not visible.
Solution C: Cover with decorative adhesive foil.
With a lot of luck:
Solution D: Look for suitable caps in a large hardware store.
Solution E: Browse the parts catalog at Ikea-components.

the storage bench you mentioned is not suitable for wall mounting! For that, there are special wall shelves from Besta. Sooner or later, if the storage bench is filled, it will come crashing off the wall and you have NO WARRANTY on it! The fittings at the back of the bench are purely tilt safeties.

Besta only has a paper honeycomb core and therefore has no load-bearing capacity. So your question about covering the holes should be resolved as well. :cool:

hm. Good question. As far as I know, nothing has changed in the construction of Besta, which means that storage benches should not be hung on the wall and especially should not be loaded/filled. In the EH, no wall-mounted storage bench is shown either, but I have to admit that I forgot to ask today.

Purely from the logic of the construction, meaning the paper honeycomb core, I cannot imagine that wall mounting is possible or intended. You also cannot/should not hang Expedit on the wall because of the same construction.

Regarding catalogs or advertising. Sorry, but often things are done or shown there that are not possible at all. And then try to explain to the customer why. Best example, the advertisement where a nice lady comes home and plans the kitchen with the whole family and afterward still comes to paint, unpack, and celebrate. :cool:
