The cheaper architect was recommended to us by the monument protection office. However, the more expensive one, whom we researched ourselves, seemed more competent to us. According to references, both have experience in the field. We wonder how such price differences can exist, even though everyone has to adhere to the fee schedule. Is it to be expected that the price will not remain low if we decide to choose that architect? Bait offer? What range is realistic (in percentage terms)?

Asked for references at the monument office? Or knocked on the neighbors’ doors? It would be more important to me that the man has experience with monuments and the area. Otherwise, ping pong with the building authority.
