Water scarcity is always a local issue. Why should one not irrigate just because there is no water coming from the tap somewhere?

Sprinkling the lawn generously with well water during drought is, however, a naive calculation. Not for one's own wallet of course, but the water is still missing from the system - for trees and for the next waterworks. Lawns should, in my opinion, be chosen to be as water-saving as possible nowadays. There are good, drought-resistant mixtures. The plants then, of course, do not look like golf course grass, but some are thicker-leaved. But whether that really should be a priority...

Of course, if it works for you, then everything is fine. even complained about too much rain and mushrooms. But it would be a pity if readers from other regions perhaps do not think further and adopt your concept. Here, it hardly feels like a single drop has fallen this year. Municipalities are calling to water street trees...

In recent years, yes, exactly. That doesn't make it any better. Quite a few trees around here have already dried up, and in the small forest it looks like autumn. I don't see that as scaremongering, rather bitter realism.

I was still complaining in April that my 8000 L cistern was already empty. Since May, I haven’t had to take a drop of water from the overflowing cistern because it has rained heavily and continuously. The heat has been here for a few days, but the plants are still very well supplied in the moist clay soil, and rain is coming again on Friday. No need to water additionally...Crazy world!!!
