Barefoot? Oh my God - you do know that there (for example at the golf course in Soma Bay) they water with the wastewater from the surrounding hotels? Only the coarse residue is filtered out beforehand with rakes and tines...

Yes, barefoot. My feet are still intact and I don’t have more calluses than before. But that’s not the point at all. The fact is, that was the best lawn I have ever walked on in this hotel complex. My question was, is micro-irrigation sufficient for that?

Mostly no. In very high-end systems, subsurface irrigation is used. In golf courses, huge lawn sprinklers are used. Within the facilities themselves, normal lawn sprinklers. Micro irrigation usually only in short range. That means a mini sprinkler with a 50cm reach or, for example, drippers. Soaker hose is basically a drip pipe but not as precise. The reason a lawn becomes/is so great lies in the type, a lot of water, a lot of fertilizer, and care.

Seriously, that was really amazing. You were practically carried by the lawn. I have never been on a golf course, but that's how I imagine it. Dense, firm but at the same time soft. Like I said, like a carpet.
