Hello everyone,

in my helplessness, I came across this forum while googling around for a solution - really great!

Since we are now separating from our Faktum kitchen because of a move and switching to the Metod system, we are currently facing a small problem, maybe someone has a planning idea.

The main problem that concerns me is the possibility of placing the freezer under the cooktop; unfortunately, I don't see any other option since we definitely don't want the combination oven at crawling height...

I also thought about removing the corner cabinet and placing the freezer there, but the wall is 181 cm long. Won't that be too tight if the cabinets are installed corner to corner? Or does anyone have another idea?

I will upload the planning pictures right away, as I don't know if the link will work. We don't want the appliances from Ikea, except maybe the freezer.

Thank you very much and best regards

Alex

Hello Alex!

I have a question, if the freezer is to go under the cooktop, where should the refrigerator be placed?
I only see space under the combination oven or have you planned it somewhere else?

And is the water connection exactly as planned or is there some leeway?

Regards

Hello,

regarding the installation of other appliances under the cooktop, Neff writes in the installation manual:

Hi IKEA friend and Hi Jace,

first of all, thank you very much for the support.
The planning is really giving me a headache. The wall is also completely uselessly placed in the apartment.
The wall is just (due to this stupid limiting wall) 1.81 m long.

I had already thought about placing the freezer compartment (60 cm) next to the tall cabinet (60 cm) (cover panels in the Ringhult white... they are already 63 cm, or 61.5 with only one cover panel on the right...)... only... does that still fit exactly???
Will I still be able to open the doors?
On the right side there would still be about 2 or 3 cm.

"I have a question, if the freezer is supposed to go under the cooktop, where is the fridge supposed to be?
I only see space under the combi oven or have you planned it somewhere else?"

- Correct, we had planned the fridge under the oven.

And is the water connection exactly as planned or is there still some leeway?

- There is still leeway, it goes relatively straight up. and there would still be some space to the right... I had also already played with a 45 cm dishwasher and a smaller sink cabinet... but that didn’t work out properly either...

@ IKEA friend: Do you think this also applies to the "smaller" freezer compartment? There would still be "room" above it. Sorry. Just looking for possibilities

Hello,
it's too hot today for proper thinking. I can't come up with a convincing idea.
I don't find the oven under the cooktop so bad if there are telescopic slides inside or it has a baking trolley. The freezer is also at crawling height.
Should the cooktop really not be an induction hob?

Tall cabinet where it is
next to it free
On the long wall:
60 base cabinet
Freezer
60 base cabinet sink
60 dishwasher
128 corner cabinet
80 base cabinet

So as far as induction is concerned, we're not entirely sure. (or rather... we somehow don't trust the "deal") I don't think the plan with the 128 corner cabinet is bad either. but the "hole" or space next to it, I can't quite get used to.

We just went to Ikea again and checked it out "live". If anyone is still considering buying Metod at the "old" price, they should hurry up. According to the saleswoman, the weekend would be the last opportunity. So our plan must be finalized by then as well.
