Controlled residential ventilation with HRV you don't have? In which year did you build? How about the insulation, under the slab, walls, roof, windows?

Sure that the 300 l tank is not just for hot water? That would mean you still have a plate heat exchanger for fresh water. But I do believe that the Business Case ST for hot water does not add up - no matter how you look at it. The consumption is too low and the investment costs are too high for that.

Sorry, but what is controlled residential ventilation?

Roof approx. 200mm insulation (Rockwool) + 50mm insulation between rafters WLG032
Masonry - double-layer with cavity insulation (inner sand-lime brick, outer clinker)
Basement: watertight concrete with external insulation
Windows triple-glazed / roof windows double-glazed

Construction completed 2014

That then adds another 6000kWh or 27kWh/m².

No without controlled residential ventilation. Yes, I think that's about right with the additional consumption, although rather 2 real rm were burned. But cost-wise it doesn't matter, since we pay €65/rm and only light the fireplace for comfort (after all CO2 neutral minus delivery).
