Whether you believe it or not. We have no contract. Only a construction service description of a rather rough nature and a handshake among honorable people. The thing with [Junkers] and so on is stated in the construction service description. We shook hands on that, he, his wife, and I. Then he said, okay, we will prepare the building application. Please come next week to sign the forms... and then it just started. Karsten

For that, I would have to know the general contractor personally well, and even then it probably wouldn’t be my case. Unfortunately, my trust doesn’t go that far, I’m just not that kind of person. I know that building requires a certain basic level of trust, but I think everyone just wants what’s best for me (€€€).

Oh, we are already quite far along. The interior plastering will be done on Wednesday. So far, they are doing everything exactly as agreed. And I am paying just as punctually as agreed. Minor unevenness has always been resolved by phone or email or WhatsApp, larger ones have not occurred so far. But, it's true, I wouldn't have done this with just anyone, not even the bank. But with him, the bank said, that's just how he is, no worries, he has never cheated any of our borrowers, and since he is also our customer, we know he is solid. Karsten

So far, I have only heard good things about our [GU]. His company is based in our future small town. Therefore, he cannot afford to do a bad job, even though one can always make excuses or blame the subs. However, I do not assume that will be the case. Thanks for now, Karsten.

So thanks for your feedback. To come back to an answer.

Our architect says that triple-glazed windows, 36.5 cm bricks, and the well-insulated roof are already sufficient.

However, he has not made a calculation any more than, for example, the heating engineer.

Therefore, we either have to trust the architect or commission our own [Energieeinsparverordnung].

Trust him. Even if that is a tough test for supply chain managers.
