Garage in the house or carport beside it

Hello, we are currently planning our house. We have a building envelope of 9m (width) and 12m (length). The requirement is a parking space at or in the house. We have now considered whether to integrate a garage into the house. Then we could use the full 9m width for the entire house. But is that also significantly more expensive? Or we plan some space next to the house for the carport/parking space. This area next to the house could also be used as an additional outdoor seating area for a ping pong table, etc. However, the living space on the ground floor/ the house would be somewhat smaller. What do you think? Which option is better?
