Hello, from a technical point of view, I can only agree that for "large" doors over 4.5 meters width, all well-known manufacturers deliver the execution of an industrial door in terms of panels, rollers, and frames. Doors with 6 meters width cause no problems, as long as they do not come from the low-budget range, but doors of the size of a double garage are fortunately rarely found in hardware stores. Hard to describe, just that the rails are located on the right or left wall. This way you have the advantage that you can open the door just a little bit, but at the same time it has the appearance of a large door. I myself immediately thought that a screw or small object could easily fall into the rail, and then it’s over when you try to open it. can you say something about these doors? Side-running doors are used when the garage is too low and there is sufficient width available. Depending on the model, you will be missing 15-30 cm on the side. Also, you cannot use the wall as a storage area, etc. Therefore, I recommend an insulated industrial sectional door with a high-speed roller shaft drive. There is a door manufacturer near us. A 5-meter door with full equipment costs under 4000€.

Joking aside: Hörmann says that for gates around 5 meters wide and in dark color, the gate can warp under full sunlight. However, it returns to normal when it cools down.
