Unless it is just an average bank. They simply can't do something like that. Just as little as assignments of savings balances or overnight money. They can't, they don't want to. Because lots of effort, little return.

To my knowledge, there is a possibility with a trust account. This way a third party (usually a notary or lawyer) can pay out the credit to the construction company (according to the respective construction progress) and you cannot spend it. Security for everyone.

No, no. No escrow or trust account. No guarantee. If I have the money, I’m not going to incur extra costs. Provide the financial status, strike the clause, done. I can pay, he will see that. If he still doesn’t want to, he’s the wrong one. Karsten

Tried everything, nothing worked. In the end, I "bought myself free" from the construction company. So my advice: read the contract carefully or better have it checked by a construction expert, don’t believe anything and if necessary, don’t sign in the first place.

Things happen...

I would be really interested to know what argument was used there. I’m just imagining I’m a contractor, someone slams money on the table and I say: "Nah, I don’t want it unless there’s also a confirmation from a bank. Keep the cash."

Or how am I supposed to imagine this?

Hello,
it was not quite like that. The clause was in the purchase contract. After discussing with the seller, I did not pay attention to have it removed before signing, and so the matter took its course. A contract is a contract and the money was gone. So, your own fault! Therefore, my above-mentioned advice is to have everything checked once again by an independent and experienced expert before signing the contract. Although that also costs a lot of money, it would have been cheaper in the end. That is how I would handle it with every company if I were to build again.
