We have chosen frosted glass with a clear edge. This way, you cannot see into the house from the street, but you can still see who is standing outside from the inside. Maybe that would be something for you too

Join in! We didn't do it, now every time I walk to the bathroom "halb nackt" I have to get dressed. Especially at night when the light turns on, you can be seen.

Unfortunately, I have just stuck foil on it for now... someday I will replace it completely.

We are happy with our frosted glass even though our front door is not visible from the street. Matter of taste, I would say.

Do not take satin finish, what is there to see anyway - except for the hallway and the corridor to the WC. You can apply foil later if necessary. It does not work the other way around.

we basically have the same elements as you plan (only with 1 window element) and chose frosted glass. as mentioned above, the hallway is a passage area and you can perfectly look into illuminated rooms in the dark. you see EVERYTHING. the windows are not small, you can really see a lot. there’s no such thing as sneaking into the kitchen at night in your underwear. unless you don’t mind that someone outside might see you (whoever might be walking around there). we first thought like you, why frosted and look bla blubb. now we are very satisfied with the frosted glass. a good compromise would certainly be such a combination (e.g. narrow edge in clear), but despite asking, it was not offered to us (does not exist bla blubb). alternatively, you could also use clear glass and install blinds later. every window in the house should somehow be coverable (roller blind, shutters, blinds, venetian blinds, etc...) or just frosted from the start. what one really doesn’t do anymore: frosted bathroom window!

The question is: what could strangers see that you don’t want them to? If the thought of feeling watched when putting on your jacket behind those narrow windows already makes your stomach churn, you should frost the windows. However: who stands in front of the door and waits for the moment? Which window would then still need to be frosted: definitely the WC and utility room! It’s just not acceptable if people, neighbors can watch you reaching into the shelf from the utility room, let alone going to the toilet. We laminated our clear glass afterwards, with a clear border and a viewing window at eye level – but only because we also have a shower in the WC that we like to use and then have to pass by the front door.
