Hi,
let's put it this way: With the door manufacturer, you don't really know what they're installing either... and our future neighbors have a door with fingerprint (I even think from Hörmann) and according to them they have to regularly re-enroll the fingerprints and in winter with ice-cold hands it doesn’t work at all.
And regarding security... yes, there may be secure ones. But it still concerns me a lot that such systems are currently absolutely not allowed in security-relevant areas like airports... for access restrictions we still install nice cylinder locks... So far nobody wants to touch such a thing with bolt cutters after our own people managed to overcome them not too long ago. Although that was admittedly 3 years ago, so things may have changed since then.
