I only know two that have a Falttür - both new buildings from the early 70s - and with both those doors were always open back then. At least when friends were there - I don't think it was different otherwise. My parents had a curtain between the kitchen and dining area back then - this was also used very little and has probably been wide open for about 20 years or so.

Unfortunately, not what we are looking for. Mainly solutions for conservatories, offices, or the cheap PVC variant can be found. A system made of, for example, aluminum frames with glass inserts is only found for outdoor use, but unfortunately that is not what we are looking for.

It is basically a compromise between an open and closed kitchen. We had planned a sliding door here. However, a folding door caught our eye (I am unfortunately not allowed to post the link), the provider for this comes from Italy. So far, I have not been able to find a source or alternatives for it.

Well then, describe what you have in mind.

We are looking for a folding door for a 2m wide wall opening. It should have 2 door panels and preferably be made of aluminum/glass or similar. When I type Faltwand into Google search, I find various solutions for separating conservatories. That is exactly what we are looking for, just for indoor use.
