They don't, it's the dining room (family gathering place) :D Well, it was just a suggestion, for me it would simply be too tight, and the hallway would be unnecessarily long.

Yes, that's true, but I would still like to have the kitchen closed off and the living room too, then an open dining area in between would look odd, wouldn't it? The rest of the house okay like that?

I find the children's rooms very small. Better to have the two kids downstairs, and the attic as a complete parents' area. Why did you place the bathrooms centrally? Because of the attic bathroom? I don't like the downpipe and the partition wall in the already cramped dining area next to the fireplace. You lose valuable space there.

Wastl, how could the bathrooms be better placed if not centrally? I mainly thought it wouldn't be so great because of the slopes. And the dressing room will also be difficult under the slope, right?

Do you already have children?

In my opinion, the children should also move to the middle floor. Not only because of the bigger rooms, but also because of your nerves. ;) Our son is 5 1/2 years old. When he is sitting one floor above us in his room and can’t manage something while building with Lego, he calls for me. If he then can’t bring what he built downstairs (because it’s too big), I don’t just have to interrupt my work here, but also have to walk upstairs. With two children and that happening several times a day, that would bother me immensely.

Even if the children have slept poorly, are sick, etc., you always have to walk two floors up from the living room.

You, on the other hand, really only need your bedroom for the night.

You have a cupboard space of about 2 meters above for tall cupboards and then you can either place stepped cupboard elements up to dressers on the front side. I am a man, cupboards are not important to me. The bathrooms could be installed above the toilets. I'll send you our floor plan as a comparison -> this is only meant as an alternative - not to be understood as "mine is better".
