Our kids are both in elementary school and at the moment we are rarely called to them, the idea was more that they have their own kingdom.

Hello OliverZ,

in principle, I quite like the floor plan.

I would only suggest considering the following points:

- Dining area:

This is very narrow at 2.48 m wide. If the table is occupied on both sides, it will be difficult to impossible to walk past it. I would skip the partition wall and integrate the hallway into the living-dining area. This will give you a lot of space, not only visually. Then turn the stairs so that instead of the descent to the basement, the ascent to the bedrooms is integrated into the living area.

- Cloakroom / WC:

I would swap both rooms – I find a window much more important in the WC.

- Bedroom:

Here I share Jaydee’s opinion. The master bedroom with dressing room and bathroom is definitely better placed under the roof. Much more privacy for you and your children. Just imagine when the kids are older and come home at night, they have to pass by you first. If they then want to shower, your night rest is probably over...

Regards,

Dirk

Dirk, I think the idea of swapping the floors is good, I just don't know how we can fit everything upstairs.
