10% to 12.5% (depending on the federal state). You can also build the house with a 2.4 m ceiling height and a total of 10 power outlets... meaning, just because you fulfill the requirement doesn’t mean you actually like it (somewhat polemical). Definitely enough with just under 25%, even significantly more than that – that’s why I asked about the view. If you have a 5 m garden and then the next townhouse in coal black comes up, you obviously don’t need panoramic windows. But if there is a field or forest, it’s really nice to be able to let your gaze wander during breakfast or while sitting on the sofa. By the way: you can have a lot of window area and still have usable space. I wouldn’t necessarily sacrifice one for the other: keyword floor-to-ceiling in every room, only to end up with a dresser in front of it.

Oh - I don’t live/work that far away; it’s not that bad anymore. In earlier years, yes, but nowadays – with the sea of regulations – it’s quite bearable.

Rhenish greetings

: why swap bathroom and child 1? then the little one right above me would be stomping around, then he’d have the darker side of the house and the bathroom would be huge...

I’ve played around with the platform staircase drawing-wise. In my opinion, with these house dimensions and without completely re-planning everything, it won’t really get better. (maybe I’m just scared that the architect and my wife will tear me apart if I scrap the status quo :P )

our “issue” in the current design is the staircase, or rather the space beneath it. question: open (for light) or closed (risers / partition wall to the hallway) what’s the best way to realize access to the storage space under the stairs in a closed variant? leave the back of the stairs open? or install a door?

Windows in the living room:
from outside it looked better if a 3m glass door instead of 2m is planned here. but since the living room is relatively small, the couch will definitely be in front of the third element and we’re unsure if that looks bad or if you automatically feel like you’re being watched..?

Bathroom / upper floor:
what do you think about the layout, especially the shower opposite the door? can it be easily extended a bit towards the door? from what depth can you possibly do without a glass door? right now the shower is 100x140cm, but in my opinion there’s still room for extension? and under the slant: does a corner bathtub or a rectangular tub work better there?

by immediately, I meant immediately!
not somewhere in NRW, but within sight of the excavator. Between the pit and us lies a field + a wooded hill – behind them, the steel colossi tower...

You place a double-glazed door opposite the hallway hose on the ground floor in front of the stairs, then visually there is no longer a hallway.

Are you referring to both potential staircase/floor plan variants?
