Hello,

in addition to some already mentioned points (especially bathrooms / 2 m line), I would also reconsider creating a direct access from the hallway on the ground floor to the living/dining room.

A double-leaf door or an open passage (my favorite) would give both the living/dining area and the hallway openness and light.

Bar stools: Here I would like to contradict . We also have a similar counter with bar stools in our kitchen that is frequently used. A quick breakfast or just sitting there to go through the mail while the other cooks or bakes are just two examples of regular use.

The wall panel between living and dining is probably planned as a multimedia wall, right? Although I agree with that this wall panel limits the variability of the dining table, as a media wall it is optimal. You have to decide for yourselves what is more important to you.

Regards,

Dirk

Again about the dining table: even if you say now that you won’t have visitors or 6 seats are enough for you, eventually there will be children’s birthday parties or you will meet a couple with children (not uncommon when the children are at kindergarten) and then 6 seats quickly become too few. Just a thought regarding the dining table ;-) And I would shift the front door a bit closer to the stairs. And as a last point: I would plan the stairs the other way around. So that you walk up at the door and come up where you currently have the wall panel. This would have the advantage that the hallway downstairs feels more spacious and upstairs you would eliminate a hazard. Because if a child sleepily stumbles to the bathroom at night, it only takes one wrong step and they could fall down the stairs.

So hello first of all and thanks already for the feedback!

So of course Yvonne you are right about the window sizes, they were actually just placeholders at first because the entire floor plan still has to go to the architect. I just wanted to know what others currently think about the design since you eventually become blind to it yourself.

As for the kitchen, I can only say we would really like to have it with the stools and the counter, we have already looked at the kitchen like that and immediately fell in love with it.

The wall panel in the living room is intended as a media wall and for deliberate spatial separation, we are just considering closing one of the two sides.

As for the 2m line in the master bathroom, I can only say that since a gable roof will go over the garage which extends into the house, I have a full room height of at least 2.50m.

We will see how we implement the other ideas.

Best regards Max

The site plan is not very informative right now because building boundaries etc. are not dimensioned.

But, given the location, wouldn't it be nicer to mirror the house and thus have the west sun in the living area and on the terrace?
