Definitely better.

One should consider rotating the staircase by 90°, so the entrance isn't right next to the main door. However, it will probably be a bit tight in the attic.

Regarding the kitchen issue... swap living and cooking areas, turn the wood stove 90° to the right... then it will be nicely positioned between living and dining and won't be in the way.

By the way, I find those two shooting slit windows in the kitchen area, only 50 cm high with a high window sill, really awful. You stand in the room and feel like you're in the basement.

The bathroom on the upper floor is too far under the sloping roof.

The thing with the stairs and the WC I had already thought about; we will bring it up again. If the living room is to be on the current kitchen space, it will have to be a bit wider, right?

Yes, that was said without a precise plan. I simply think the layout is not yet complete.

The parapet is not high, but at countertop height
...we also have that - copied from Viebrockhaus. The advantage: it directs the block towards the ground/garden and not the street, and you can still hang wall cabinets above it, which a person of short stature can also reach. It also looks absolutely stylish if you prefer more width and lower height. Otherwise, I agree with you, Kerstin. In the bathroom, feel free to build a little wall under the slope so that the tub and toilet sit on the 2-meter line. But the bathroom can still be tuned later, the capacity is available. I would do without some walls on the ground floor!
