You get out of the cool water, dry yourself off so you don’t flood 7.5m² of tiles, and go to the loo. The other way around doesn’t work. Mom is showering, the other shower has been occupied by the daughter for what feels like 3 days... and the son needs to go. The toilet is of course in the main bathroom and Mom calls out, "Just come in, nothing you haven’t seen before"... Alternatively, he can watch his sister shower and bowl a ball 50cm next to her... The separate toilet upstairs is absolutely top if you have the space for it. Few things make as much sense as that... Wait until the kids are 14. Then no one finds it cool anymore to sit on the pot while Dad, Mom, sister, or brother are showering... or even just brushing their teeth.

If the bathroom is occupied, the other person can go downstairs or to the other bathroom on the floor. The house has several bathrooms and toilets.

As said, I don't think much of toilets directly in bathrooms, mainly due to the odor development when someone has to take a big dump. Going from the shower/bathtub to the toilet without drying off is, in my opinion, theoretical. Even in hotels where this possibility existed, I have never done it. I would feel cold within seconds, the toilet and the path to it are wet, and there is also the risk of slipping. But that is a personal view that everyone has to decide for themselves.

I don't see the slanted wall from the 80s as a fundamental problem. Just because a house doesn't conform to the currently modern architectural style doesn't mean it is bad. For example, I can't relate to the Bauhaus style, even though apparently every second house around here has been built in that way in recent years. Also, the floor-to-ceiling windows from architects/planners/or wherever else they come from (except for terrace exits) will never make sense to me. But tastes are just different.

On the subject of the staircase: someone said that it pushes against the entrance. Maybe someone can explain that in more detail, as I am not sure what he/she means by that.

because the planned costs were asked about, yes the 1 is in front of it. however, I do not want to go into more detail at the moment. I ask for your understanding!

First of all, I think it's great that you put so much thought into it and also bring it into a plan - and thereby notice and have to resolve the dependencies yourself.

Of course, there are always matters of taste in architecture, and it is YOUR dream house, not MY dream house. For example, the huge bathing halls, and when you have to go to the toilet, you have to walk all the way through the hallway - that wouldn't be my thing, but as they say in Franconia: "For the one who likes it, this is the very best."

I find the labyrinth until you get to the living room even more difficult. When I enter such a house, and by that I mean not only as a visitor but also myself, I want to be in the living room fairly quickly. You enter here and look at the elevator, turn left, into the dining room, a nice view of the chaos in the kitchen and the aroma from the stove explains the menu, turn right and finally you are in the living room.

I see your plan as a collection of material, not as a plan. With it, and I mean this absolutely positively, you have sketched your idea and tried to combine all of it in a single plan. Here a toilet, there another staircase, there is a lot in this plan but I think there are too many monuments of rooms and too few rooms.

My suggestion: Write down your criteria with prioritization and go to an architect with them. He will surely give you something that looks quite different. Talk to him about what he had in mind. Please definitely bring a WHAT you want but don’t start with HOW it is built.
