The development plan became legally binding in 1981. With the usual 99 years for the church, I conclude construction year 1985. What kind of strange preliminary building inquiry was that if the main issue was not conclusively decided?

:-( according to this, only the utility room (?, 18.21 sqm) would be within the building window. In my opinion, this tends to mean further searching. However, being so close to the church, the connection to the pastor should be short enough (see my Barthel tips *smile*).

The data from Escroda is correct so far. Thanks for the addition (hadn't gotten around to it yet). The building inquiry was about enlarging the building window. According to it, we are allowed to build on the property everywhere, as long as we maintain the 3m distance to public traffic areas. We are currently considering whether it might make more sense to leave out the "Zwischenstück" with the utility room and keep the 6m between the houses so that the fire protection side doesn't ruin our plans. However, this would make the footprint of the house very small, which would bring a basement back into play, which we actually didn't want...

As I said, on an undivided plot I don't yet see the necessity.

Where and how exactly do you mean extension and adding a floor? If you mean the side of the existing house facing the garden and one and a half stories high: yes, we actually considered that, but unfortunately it would take away all the light from my parents in the main living area. So unfortunately that is not an option... :-(
