Thank you for the hint. I was actually mistaken regarding the height of the masonry in the stairwell opening. My mistake. We will discuss this point with our construction company. What surcharge would one have to reasonably expect here compared to a normal one? In case implementing the sliding door turns out to be too expensive, does anyone have an idea how to cleverly place a normal interior door?

But you want a solution to place two doors immediately on one square meter! The "wanting" is implied there.
Your pantry wall will be doubled with a dry wall so that a door can run there. That doesn't cost the world for the "wanting."

I will cautiously suggest swapping the living room and kitchen and placing the door to the pantry on the long wall. The pantry would be better utilized. Since you are quite sparing with the info (yes, sometimes more drastic steps have to be taken to optimize something), I have no idea what else might be affected.
