The "Ausland" is located in Austria and the Lower Austrian Building Code applies. Thus, we have a lot of flexibility and virtually no building restrictions.

I wouldn’t focus too much on the 6.50m distance to the neighbor for a terrace on the south side if I were you. The southern sun also shines on the west terrace – just from the side.

We followed the discussion, it should not end like this for us.
We also tried to move the entrance to the side, result attached.
What we find very practical is when the staircase is not directly at the entrance area.

The terrace would be here in the west.
But we ourselves are still not completely satisfied with the upper floor..
