Hello everyone,
I am new here and have a bunch of questions. We have been tinkering with the floor plan forever and are close but somehow not perfect yet. Maybe you can help? My questions:
- Is it possible to build the hallway on the upper floor without windows and, for example, install small glass elements in the doors to the bright rooms? In addition to the light that comes up through the stairs...
- What type of stairs do you have? Straight up? Quarter-turn? Landing stairs? And are you satisfied with the space requirements, etc.?
- How many bathrooms do you have? Large family bathroom on the upper floor with shower and tub, guest WC on the ground floor - possibly an additional shower bathroom
- Shading - do you have good experiences with exterior louvers, sliding elements, shutters, roller blinds (although the latter are not so nice)
- Does anyone have 3 children's rooms and 1-2 bathrooms accommodated on about a 10x10 floor area (outside) on the upper floor and can give tips on how that works?

Thanks!

So without a crystal ball, it will probably be difficult to answer there. The questions also don’t seem to make much sense to me. Don’t you have an architect? Best regards

We also have a corridor without windows – however, the light comes from the ceiling with us – works very well – for pictures you can search for "Lichtspot" on my blog.

A straight staircase – mainly because of the floor plan we wanted.

2 bathrooms (one small) and a guest WC on the ground floor. The children will have their own bathroom eventually. We grew up like that ourselves and wanted to do it the same way.

Roller shutters – absolutely trouble-free

Don’t get discouraged – you will find a solution – just need a little time.
Greetings Jörg

- How long / big is the hallway?
- We have a 90° staircase in the entrance area that goes to the upper floor. Takes up little space
- 1 small bathroom on the ground floor (shower, toilet) for daily use on workdays and 1 bathroom with shower, toilet, bath upstairs for bath days ^^

- All our windows have electric roller shutters.

- Have 1 children's room on the ground floor about 12 sqm and 1 children's room upstairs also about 12 sqm. (I think this is quite good when the schoolchild becomes more independent)

Best regards

Hello Bienchen,

I would put a bedroom on the ground floor and install a shower in the guest WC.
Then you would have 3 rooms of 15m² upstairs, the bathroom would be about the same size.
With 12x8 m you also have enough space.
A 1/4 turn staircase in the entrance area should provide enough light, even if all the doors upstairs are closed.

Regards
Tobi

Hello Tobi,

sorry, I can't help myself, but you really want to build a shower in the [Gäste-WC]

Best regards
