Where is there 1 m of space here to get into the kitchen?

The small planned dining table with chairs completely blocks the way. From the end of the kitchen wall to the wall on the right side of the plan, there are not even 300 cm. In contrast, a lot of empty space is created in the area of the stairs in front of the fireplace.

I think this needs to be redesigned. I basically like the upper floor, but a bedroom that only has 313 cm raw construction width is really borderline. 180 cm mattress width plus a minimum of 10 cm bed frame... that leaves 120 cm for the right and left sides of the bed.

In the bathroom, a floor-to-ceiling window right in front of the washbasin?

In the nicely sized children's rooms, positions for beds and desks should be found... because there are also floor-to-ceiling windows there. Also, consider the youth’s desire for 140 cm wide beds.

Our table is actually only 140x84 and if it should work with a lift-and-slide door, then that wouldn't be a problem, right? I don't think swapping the dressing room with the bedroom is optimal because we don't want our bed near the children's room.

So my 180 bed is 180 wide, I wouldn't always generalize it like that. In terms of length, I tend to agree more.

Overall, many things feel cramped. And is it really 130 sqm of living space? I can hardly imagine that.

I misunderstood you about the passage to the kitchen, I thought you meant the hallway. Sorry, you are of course right. And we will now also consider the windows, thank you very much!

We thought that you mostly just sleep in the bedroom, meaning get into bed in the evening and out in the morning, so you don't need that much space for it...

Even if you only sleep in it, both surely want to be able to access the bed from the side? The one who sleeps by the outer wall can only crawl into bed from the foot end, because there is too little space to the wall. At least he gets a small bedside table. The one who lies towards the dressing area gets none, as the window is floor-to-ceiling...

I also find quite a bit too cramped. For example, the dining table could be larger than the current one.

I still don’t understand why the direction of the staircase can’t be changed. But that is actually secondary right now, since I find it too tight in other important areas (dining area, bedroom) and presumably a lot will still change...
