I find the floor very stylish and don't really like having tiles. Otherwise, we only want to lay parquet. In the hallway, bathrooms, utility room, and stairs, we wanted a concrete look.
In the neighboring town, someone does that quite well. I follow his Instagram profile. The results look very stylish.
It's probably expensive. I will contact him.
But I have a master painter in the immediate family who dares to do it and would actually do it for free. We would only have to pay for the materials. However, he doesn't have much experience with it, I even suspect none at all. But he knows about it, has brochures on it, and can get access to the materials. That's why I don't know how we should decide.

Well, that’s the question. Technically, he can do a lot, plastering anyway, he also has colleagues and can obtain information/devices. I believe he has already done stairs. The question is whether it’s really rocket science? It’s clear that a hobby craftsman shouldn’t do it. There is also a painter in the neighborhood who offers it. On the internet, I’ve seen people plaster their own stairs. It looks good too.

I want

I don't want to offend the painter, but only have it done by someone who really knows how to do it.

It is probably also a question of your standards for something like this and whether you are prepared to possibly forgive small flaws in the result. Against this background, I have often had things done by people whose work quality I know well, and then we "took the risk" together.

I will inquire with the well-known painter. We didn’t remove the tiles for cost reasons, but because we really don’t want tiles.
