I don’t know if the neighbors would look weird if I put my power rack outside. Or I’ll just keep going to the usual gym... :)Not for me. Then I'd rather create a garden and shovel snow from one side of the street to the other in winter. I'd rather sweat outside than in the utility room next to the heat pump and the washing machine (and the fresh laundry). Outdoor sports are much more fun. But to each their own.
A large floor plan is really not an argument for a house, there are apartments with 200 sqm and more. Arguments for a house: real ownership (and not a condominium share certificate) and distance to immediate neighbors. Everything else you can also have in an apartment, including garden and terrace, but with proximity to neighbors (ground floor apartment with garden share) instead of distance. I can’t think of anything more than real ownership and distance to neighbors. For that, I'd rather have my own room. Of course, that doesn't fit into the standard floor plans living roomchildren's roombedroomkitchenbathroom. But if you already have the opportunity to design your own floor plan, then a room (or two) should be provided for hobbies, otherwise you might as well stay in the rental apartment. For example, we have a huge playroom (we have no children, it’s for us!) and three rooms just for the animals (there aren’t that many, but they have the space). Somehow you have to allocate 200 sqm to 2 people ;)
