We build with Pumix blocks:

I was almost right; it is also a lightweight concrete. Therefore, I would like to ask out of curiosity: why didn’t you choose pumice directly? It has comparable properties and should be considerably cheaper than the stone used now.

Subjectively considered: Because the general contractor we favor, who has a very good reputation in Saarland, installed this stone and the "rest" simply "fit" with the provider.

Since the properties matched, we did not look for alternatives any further.

Now to your comments/questions:
- Planned is a gas boiler with solar support (due to direct south orientation) including a 300-liter buffer tank
- We have drawn another option for the upper floor - with the two upper bathrooms stacked on top of each other -> see attachment
- We already have the 2.85m wide wardrobe - would like to take it with us - the light switch was planned for the opposite side of the wardrobe directly at the door (so on the right when you come in - door opens to the left)

We still have the question of how "narrow" the staircase can be made so that it is still easy to walk on in order to gain width in the kitchen and hallway. Can anyone help or give tips?
