If the slope of the [Pultdach] is also visible inside the room, it can visually lift and enlarge the spaces. At the same time, parallel surfaces are reduced, which brings some acoustic living comfort. However, flat remains more attractive in this house.

Yes, I’m already moving the rooms around in my mind too, but it’s not supposed to work out that way. If you don’t make the basement smaller, you won’t be able to make the terrace smaller either. That’s our dilemma. Hence the consideration to raise the bedroom??

We definitely want to speak with the architect again to see if there are ways to reduce the living space and the terrace a bit. After all, everything has to be kept clean as well.

From what can be seen in the first draft, I am sure that the architect will offer you good and reasonable options for adjustments. Of course, you should also be careful that too many changes could quickly cause the character mentioned here to be lost; but he/she will tell you that anyway. This is not a usual standard floor plan, and as such, you certainly want it that way. I am already curious about possible changes. Moving the bedroom upstairs, however, means changes on the ground floor because there is currently no space for a dressing room there. It cannot be answered in advance how the situation will be with children later on. In the best case, rooms should be designed so that they can be used differently at any time, but unfortunately, that does not always work. Depending on the child's age/situation, we moved rooms inside the house twice at the time—

Neither do I inside the house - only the terrace: there the tail is significantly bigger than the dog. On the other hand, that fits again with although I find such "considerable understeer" of the roof compared to the slope almost crazy again - in the style of British humor. For photovoltaics, I would put a question mark behind such a moderate pitch again. Also, with a roof pitch under 22/21° one is not blessed with a wide selection of roofing materials.

I like it, very nice. What I would consider is the position of the bedroom. Having it right next to the entrance and facing the street is not ideal in my opinion. And when the stove is on, it probably won’t be bearable to stay on the sofa either – it was/is marked similarly for us, but it won’t happen....
