Hello!

The floor plan is not bad. But why should a staircase that turns at a right angle to the entrance be well suited for bulky items?

You have a hallway area of approx. 15 sqm, which is really not little. In the end, however, you move there like in a tunnel - no matter where you stand - a wall is always within reach!

Which staircase you implement depends not least on the available space. Most builders probably therefore choose a quarter-turn staircase - in the result you have nothing different - only the starting step is slightly changed.

If you have enough space - so about 180 sqm upwards - this straight staircase construction has its charm; but then as a continuation of the direction of walking when entering the house.

I think I have seen something like that at Luxhaus (Austria) on the internet.

Best regards, TomTom.

Hello Tom,

somehow I'm a bit stuck but I don't quite understand
"You have a floor area of about 15 sqm, which is really not little. In the end, you move around there like in a tunnel - no matter where you stand - a wall is always within reach!"

How would you change it then?

Regards

Stan

Hi!
it's not that simple. If you change the staircase, you start again at 0.00. Of course, I always think MY house is the best :D!
Therefore, first some notes/deviations:
The kids' bathroom is a must - however, I combined guest toilet and kids' bathroom.
In the dressing room, I have no window - saves closet doors (but in return, I have a high-voltage connection for a future sauna).
In front of the parents' area, I have a little hallway - sort of as a boundary and soundproofing. If necessary, a fingerprint lock will follow :p.
In general: From a long, narrow room, the best thing to make is a bowling alley! With your enviable space, you can realize the desired staircase - but without a bend! A large foyer should also provide space so that the view is not always directed at the next wall 1.50 m away.
Try to continue the walking direction on the stairs when entering the house - but as said, everything goes back to start.
Best regards,
TomTom.
