First alleged fixed price and now additional costs - legal?

That was also my first thought. They did not come off well at all on TV (construction helpers?) with their contract behavior.

What does the payment plan say? How much have you already paid?

I believe also here in the forum. Just recently, that is, this year. That's really a problem with this franchise.

I would say, it would be fair for every general contractor to release any client from the contract if desired and only charge for the services already rendered. But what is fair anyway, this is not fundamentally a problem of the franchise, rather, there are just clients who believe that building a house is like shopping at Ikea.

I know that I will not get it. My income is too low and my expenses are too high for that. I have saved the money. But I do not have more than that.

I would also be annoyed if the deceitful seller got away with it unscathed. He certainly knows that he is lying. To me, that is already fraudulent misrepresentation. It's just unfortunate if you can't prove it :-(
