That can happen to you with any other entrepreneur just the same. As a builder you have to inform yourself. Building is a business. It is not for amateurs.

I just thought of something:

Originally, my contract was rejected because, according to the contract, it was not accepted within 4 weeks. After the 4 weeks, the contract was then accepted with amendments, which I signed. I don’t know if that is okay or if perhaps a new contract should have been drawn up.

- Insurances
- Construction road
- Construction fence
- external construction supervisor (especially with Town & Country)

come to mind.

It is not about services from the payment schedule at first, but about already incurred contract-related personnel and material costs, the calculated profit. The 20k€/10% compensation for damages fully covers the lost profit.

Have you actually read what the lawyer wrote? You can check the costs in your contract. What does the payment plan say? In my opinion, with 10% you got off lightly. If I were to calculate the costs for you, it would easily come out to 20%. Does the land belong to you? Is it already paid for?
