Don't tell stories here. You have deliberately left the fancy houses out of the frame. There are at least 7 or 8 houses in a quiet and nice location at the edge of the field. And you haven't included the lake either. Please post the picture a bit more broadly again. Then it will look completely different. And opposite where all the houses are, there is also an industrial area. At least partly. So do it.

I have no idea how old the photo is, but when I look at the houses more suitable as residential buildings, quite a few have been added – apart from the scrap trade and the window manufacturer, it seems like practically everyone there lives there.

That's true. But you can find a "real" business for every house. No detached houses that you just build like that. In that respect, the tip from the professional was and is a flop. And quite honestly - I wouldn't want to live in this settlement next to stinking old meat and a scrapyard. Only the large sports facility I find interesting.

Well, top right I think is okay. That might be a craft business that still has a storage hall or something. And the existing settlement at the top edge of the picture is not really "better off" than in the mentioned corner...

The four probable houses to the right of the window maker are also likely quite well compensated due to their location directly at the development edge.

No. A side job is by no means a business ;) In my neighborhood, there is a community with a commercial unit: Here I have a satellite image from Google: At the bottom, you can see at the street where it ends and the residential area begins. By the way, at the top left is a show house from Schwörerhaus, which they wanted to sell a few years ago. Nobody wanted it for about 500,000€. That wasn’t cheap in our area back then. Now, since the end of last year, this house is being sold. The price fits in with the other offers. A business must be there, then an apartment is legitimate. (By the way, the houses look similarly elegant – most are faced with bricks, but many dormers, mullioned windows, and ornate architecture. Cheap construction is hard to find. But see for yourself: But as already said: business! And they are no bargain!

It's just a classic mixed-use area and has always been that way.
