Hello dear community!

I am new here, so please forgive me if I haven't included all the information right away. I can provide it later if needed.

We are in the process of completely converting the upper floor for ourselves as a separate apartment. My parents-in-law will remain on the ground floor. However, everything will be completely separated. That means a separate staircase, basement partition, etc.

I have somewhat followed the guide. I hope the information is sufficient, otherwise I can gladly provide more as mentioned.

Development plan/restrictions
Plot size 500sqm
Slope --
Site occupancy index --
Floor area ratio --
Building window, building line and boundary
Edge development --
Number of parking spaces 5
Building stories upper floor, one level
Roof shape gable roof
Style chalet
Orientation southwest
Maximum heights/limits --
Further requirements --

Requirements of the builders
Style, roof shape, building type: gable roof with partially open roof truss (chalet)
Basement, floors: already existing
Number of persons, age: 2 adults, 2 children (toddlers)
Room requirements on ground floor, upper floor
Office: family use or home office? Separate entrance
Guest bedrooms per year --
Open or closed architecture --
Conservative or modern construction --
Open kitchen, kitchen island: kitchen island with dining group in the room
Number of seats >8
Fireplace yes, it would be great as a room divider between kitchen and living room
Music/stereo wall
Balcony, roof terrace: roof terrace at least 30sqm
Garage, carport
Utility garden, greenhouse
Additional wishes/special features/daily routine, also reasons why this or that should or should not be

House design
Who is responsible for the planning:
-Planner of a construction company

What do you particularly like? Why? I really like the plan. But maybe I am wearing rose-colored glasses?
What don’t you like? Why? possibly small children’s bathroom
Price estimate according to architect/planner:
Personal price limit for the house, including equipment: 500,000
Preferred heating technology:

If you have to do without, which details/finishes

Why is the design as it is now? e.g.
Our wishes were tried to be implemented

What is the most important/basic question about the floor plan summarized in 130 characters?

[*]I am very satisfied with the plan so far. It is basically everything as we imagine it. However, I would like to hear opinions – maybe we are wearing rose-colored glasses
[*]The door of the children’s room will still be moved down so that the parents’ area can be completely separated with one door in front of the parents’ bathroom.
[*]Only concern – children’s bathroom and guest WC – but I wouldn’t know how it could be bigger. Do you think it will work and also look good?

Orientation:
The parents’ bedroom and bathroom are in the NE
Living room and kitchen SW

Upper floor
Grey walls are existing
East side and south side are municipal streets

I am aware that possibilities are relatively limited due to the existing conditions. Nevertheless, I look forward to your suggestions and tips.

Best regards

Office outside the apartment? Can you move the front door closer to the stairs? Or is the office for the parents-in-law? I would find it strange to just bring the dirty socks to the washing machine in my underwear if I have to leave the apartment to do so. Guest WC and shower room - both very small, why not make one room out of them?

I thought so, I know the floor plan

It would have been easier to continue the old thread.

Yes, the office is consciously outside, as my husband can work from home there and also receive clients if necessary.

For the office, we have planned a hole through which we can throw the laundry from the bathroom.

We will do the door to the stairs as well.

Yes, that with the guest WC is true. But I want the shower and sink to be separate for our children. If guests have to use the WC and everything from the children is "lying around" there, I don't like that.

I have no better idea right now, but I would refuse to work in an office with a washing machine and [WT]. Those things make noise!
