Good tip from .

We also had two panes replaced last week due to scratches. Therefore, highly recommended.

Measured against the volume for your house construction, €500.00 cannot be too much!

There are many positions that need to be checked and I am sure that you don’t have them all on your radar; you simply can’t have them all. What you describe are more or less _optical_ finishing touches.

Just one example: Unfortunately, I don’t remember if you installed tie elements in your building project in the attic/upper floor. Assuming that you did: how are you supposed to tell if the laminated safety glass (VSG) is installed on the inside or outside of the glass? It’s unwise to first cut yourself in the worst case, only to be “caught” afterwards ;)

Rhenish greetings

Would you let experts accompany then, or have them go through beforehand? I have learned that BU has the windows cleaned before acceptance.

We have already gone through it once with the expert, so you can discuss certain things without the site manager being present. Although our expert was involved during the construction.

Here I would like to disagree at several points. First of all, it’s not about "pressure" at all. It’s better not to puff yourself up and try to increase pressure by "not being soft." Rather, it’s important to write down the identified defects, discuss them with the contractor, and work out a solution. The defects and the agreement on their removal/solution must be recorded in an acceptance protocol and signed by both parties.

The problem is the lack of expertise. Without the presence of an expert, you will be given a whole range of plausible explanations, and—often under the pressure of handing over the keys—you will be satisfied with these and sign the acceptance protocol, but then without the defects being recorded. The problem: you have then accepted the work—with this defect—and no longer have any warranty for this defect. A very unpleasant situation.

Another problem is that you can only recognize smaller—visible—defects. The expert will be able to identify a number of—truly expensive—defects, if they exist. Well-invested money, also for peace of mind.

Correct, I could have also written it more briefly: Friendly, but firm! In my opinion, the latter is often missing.
