Thank you for the quick response. We want to build in Alsheim (Mettenheim is nearby) and are waiting for the offer from MW. At the moment, nothing is happening for us because of Corona. We had an appointment at the show house at the beginning of March, and then the lockdown came. Did you have many appointments or did everything fit with MW right away? I am glad that work is continuing for you on the construction site despite the current situation.

If you mean other GCs. Yes. It was already mentioned earlier in the post. With MW, we also had several appointments until signing. Just to clarify little things. If there were questions, the doors were always open. You invest a lot of money when building a house. So we simply tried to clarify everything beforehand. Yes, the work on the construction site continues. But we avoid contact with the workers. For the protection of others building as well.

Sedax, Sedax, may I ask what type of roofing you chose? MW offers as standard Braas concrete roof tiles. I'm considering switching to clay roof tiles. Questions upon questions...

We used the tiles. Just in a different color.

Sedax, I have a few more questions. How was it with the start of construction, was there a specific date at the time of signing the contract? When did the architect contact you? Is there also a completion date? And what did you agree with the bank as the "interest-free provisioning" period?

Hi No. There was no concrete date at the time of contract signing. That still depends on various factors. We waited a long time for our building permit. I would have to guess when the architect got in touch. I think it took about 6 weeks. But it felt very long to us. After signing, the enthusiasm is very high, and you would prefer to start immediately. Yes, there is a completion date. 8 months from the start of construction. Although, again, various factors play a role there. Interest-free period 1 year.
