Yes, that is also one of the reasons why we would like to get an infrared heater. How quickly does yours respond? Is it really possible to just quickly turn it up so you don't have to shower in freezing cold in the morning, or can it be just as quickly turned down again when you have visitors and suddenly sit with 5 people in the living room? Or are the advertisers exaggerating a bit?

It works pretty much like your stove plate/induction plate :) If you set it to level 9, it gets hot. If you turn it down to level 2, it gets significantly less hot right away ;)

If you're building a 40 or better house anyway, there is no freezing cold in the house. If there is, then also plenty of mold.

You always have to heat a bit. You don't turn the heating off completely. It goes from warm to very warm.

I remember asking exactly the same questions and the uncertainty remained until installation. So far, we are positively surprised by how it works. However, we also don’t want it warm everywhere and always the same; when my wife comes home in the evening, we sometimes make it a bit warmer, during the day I do it depending on my mood or I sometimes turn the stove on if I feel like flickering. With the underfloor heating in our previous home, I often felt during the day that it suddenly got very warm in the house when the sun was out and I had to open the windows; I don’t have that here anymore, sometimes it’s rather too cool and then I just turn the knob briefly. :D

Our modules are either on or off, a thermostat or I even tell them individually when they should turn on if necessary, or the programming, if I want it. Imagine it like a radiator on the wall, when you turn the knob, something similar happens. We have been living here for 2-3 months now and are just figuring out how everything in the house works.

We insulated to Kfw40 standard and I can confirm that it never really gets cold in the house, which I had not known before. To try it out, I once turned the heating completely off for 2 days and no one was freezing, not even in the morning when getting up, and we had between 18-19 degrees. By now, we do it so that in the kitchen area the two elements run a bit in the morning. Since I don’t like it very warm anyway, that suits me and today, for example, the heating is completely off and when the sun comes through the window it instantly gets warm. I find that maximally flexible; my concern about too localized or even burning heat has not turned out to be true in the slightest, even though the elements can reach up to 180 degrees. But my happiness in life does not depend on a heating system either.

In the bathroom, for example, we currently have it set to 20 degrees, the electric underfloor heating is not on at all and we are happy with that. The “problem” of water-based underfloor heating is (problem in quotation marks) that the floor usually doesn’t get really warm due to the low supply temperature. I experienced it last time that sometimes it felt cold, the next day warm again; I did not find that particularly comfortable. But all these are only partial aspects, you can use them to decide whether something fits or not. Every heating system has its quirks and inconveniences; there is no panacea even in heating systems. Ultimately, a heating system especially depends on the user’s behavior and expectations.

Exactly that works. In the bathroom with 10 sqm, for example, we have two smaller modules distributed in the ceiling and the room is simply warm as it should be. It’s not hot here and cold there or different, but evenly warm everywhere. That was also a concern of mine. What can I say, we are (so far) satisfied; we have three modules, for example, hanging high up at the ceiling in airy height and that works as well. The location and respective size of the modules is planned, there is also a demand calculation. In short, I can in no way confirm horror stories. To demonstrate credibility, I issued the invitation because I don’t want to deceive anyone. Whether it is suitable for your project or you like it, you have to decide individually; as I said, you should get in touch with people who really understand something about it and don’t just categorically throw it out. I could gladly give you pictures, calculations etc., but I don’t want to post them here for the reasons stated. What amazes me again and again is when I read that this or that is better, while we are all completely different feeling people… I thought. maybe. Also, my self-determination is too important to me to not want to always have such things myself and maximally individually; for that reason, after initial interest, I decided against “too much” automation, but I can absolutely understand if someone else feels differently. One day I like a degree more, another less, when showering I like it bright, another day rather dim… an automatic system cannot decide that for me. BUT THAT ONLY APPLIES TO ME! :D

I don’t know anything like that. Our modules are switched on and off by the thermostat, there is no gradation, and I don’t think it’s needed. At first, I always measured with the “temperature gun” also to see when which module switches on.

Again, a big thank you for your efforts, that helps us a lot and we will probably contact a manufacturer ourselves soon.

That would of course be more than fabulous! According to the forum, I am "not yet allowed to start a personal conversation." If you could perhaps take over that... ? Many, many thanks, I can do a lot with that.
