Experiences with heat pumps and photovoltaics?

I think it does make sense. Full supply is not possible in winter, but every contribution counts. Even at 10%, the question is always, 10% of how much? And in the warm half of the year, hot water is just as "free" as with solar thermal. Only with photovoltaics can the rest be consumed/sold. Hundreds of liters of hot water in summer are usually not very useful. You can always use electricity.

With brine heat pumps, make sure you are not building in the [Heilquellenschutzgebiet]. Drilling approvals are not always granted there.

Photovoltaics for heat pumps never provide everything, but definitely make a lot of fun. Our heat pump runs on regular household electricity; the consumption therefore includes cooling in summer, heating, hot water, cooking, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, lighting, etc... November is up to and including this morning.
