no Olli, a pellet device has to be cleaned much more often than, for example, a wood stove, ( ...if you have ever read the warranty conditions for a pellet device... ) AND more intensively... cleaning all the fans etc also adds up, i.e. lots of fiddly work! OK for professionals, but for the "ordinary desk worker" a lot of work... Sure, good devices have integrated brushes or "shaking coils" in the heat exchanger that you can sometimes activate with a hand movement (usually after opening the casing first...) but it doesn't stop there... Since the mentioned house already has gas installed, I would recommend a combination of gas heating and a "normal" fireplace, possibly as a storage fireplace or storage stove... ( the question of pellets hardly arises at all for people with lots of wood at their disposal )

PS: For "efficiency fetishists" (90%) just google "Dual Fire Technologie," a mix of a normal stove and wood gasifier, available with water and without... can be loaded with up to 18kg of wood and burns for about 4 hours and more

Can you get a subsidy from the BAFA for this stove?

Unfortunately no, not even with similar devices from other manufacturers... I talked to 2 providers and both said no. It is completely incomprehensible to me (very clean & effective, that should definitely be eligible for funding)

Quote from a manufacturer (the 3rd one by now): "We even went to Berlin and spoke with those responsible for the BImSchV... unfortunately without results... apparently lacking lobby..."

So you could say that the additional costs for an oven with a water jacket are not worth it compared to a conventional oven, right?
