Hello everyone,

Is it true that the connections must be dismantled back to the street during a house demolition? What exactly is the procedure if I want to tear down an existing house, what do I have to consider, and how much time does all of this take?

Where do the applications have to be submitted, and how long does it take until the connections are cut off and dismantled?

Thank you very much

I would consider that nonsense, especially if the demolition is carried out to clear the building plot for a successor building, and thus the non-use of the connection will only be of a temporary nature. In that case, a valve in front of the current house entry should suffice.

As already mentioned, we have just gone through this. We demolished and rebuilt almost in the same spot. Gas: was disconnected on the street, pipes remained on the property where they did not cause any disturbance. They would have needed 8 weeks' notice, only after much pleading from me did it happen faster. Electricity: There was a shared line with the neighbor that lies on an intermediate property. We were disconnected there, cables remained where they did not cause any disturbance. After rebuilding, new cables were laid. The disconnection was quick, did not require much lead time. Water: After the waterworks found the pipes (there were no drawings), the connection was temporarily shut off and after rebuilding reconnected to the old pipes. This always happened very promptly. Wastewater: We separated it ourselves 2 m from the house and reconnected it there after rebuilding. For this, we coordinated with the GU where the central wastewater pipe must exit the house.

Thank you for your explanations. Did you have to apply for the disconnection of electricity, gas, etc. centrally at the office or with the respective supplier? That means a lead time of 2 months should be sufficient.
