Yes, I wanted to give you an update on how things stand now. So, our architect was at the district office yesterday. That is apparently the higher authority where a full building application might have to be submitted. The caseworker there was able to follow everything with the architect and has no objections to an exemption application. There is absolutely no reason why the basement should be considered a full floor. There are certain guideline values/numbers to be adhered to, and these are correct in our case. Now the architect has revised the entire application and presented it slightly differently, as the caseworker from the district office suggested, and is going to the responsible municipality today to submit the application again. He wants to go through everything directly with the caseworker and calculate it, and then it should probably work out. So, one can remain curious...

To be honest, I will very likely not be able to sleep peacefully next year.
Big child, newborn child, house construction, distance learning, and living with the in-laws. So, if we are not divorced by this time next year, then we will celebrate our golden wedding anniversary in 45 years, I am sure of that.
