Hello,
I have been reading here for a while and have already found good tips for our upcoming house purchase.
We want to buy a terraced house from 1953 with a bungalow extension from 1995 in Hamburg.
A friend who is an architect was there and examined the substance. So far, everything is fine.
On the bungalow, which faces the garden at the back, we want to put a gable roof with a knee wall about 120cm high.
The new roof must then have the same height as the old one and be connected at a right angle. I hope that is understandable. The base area is about 50 sqm, the roof should have 4 roof windows, and at the front in the gable preferably floor-to-ceiling windows.
The "foundation," meaning the roof of the bungalow, is made of 35cm concrete and is designed for the load.
The architect said something about 50,000€ for the roof structure if I do a lot (complete interior finishing) myself.
Is that realistic?
Thanks
Mave
