Hello everyone,
In two weeks, the assembly of my prefabricated house is planned; today was the last meeting with the responsible site manager of the house company.
Today he noticed that the crane has no space to set up; one possibility is that the power line (overhead) is lowered by the grid operator so that the crane can swing. It was planned that the crane stands on the property, but that no longer works...
Background:
My driveway with parking space is 6.5 m wide; 6 m were required for the crane. The house stands 0.5 meters away from the parking space, but since the house must be scaffolded, two meters are missing, so the crane would only have 4.5 m space left.
The site manager suggested organizing a smaller crane, but he cannot promise whether it will be suitable for that. An alternative would be that the grid operator lowers the power line for the two days of assembly, then the crane could operate from the street.
My questions now:
1. How much does such a lowering of the power line cost?
2. Do I have to pay for it, or does the house construction company?
The house company took over the architectural service and the project planning, as well as the building permit application.
I am attaching photos of the property; the second photo shows the driveway not quite finished yet, but you can see the dimensions. In the first picture, the staked-out house can be seen on the left.
I would appreciate opinions or experiences.
Thank you very much!
Erik
