Hello everyone,
I am currently planning my house. It is located on a street with a slight incline. The plot has a length of 18.5m towards the street (height difference from the highest point to the lowest is 0.92 meters). The entrance of the house would be 8cm above the street level. A rain gutter will be installed in front of the entrance as a precaution. Now to the actual problem: The double garage is next to the house for "solar reasons." I am afraid that the driveway in its current form (see attachment) might be too steep. The garage door is 5 meters wide. The following height differences (from garage driveway to street) are currently planned by the architect:
far left: 0.5 meters (distance to the street 6 meters) -> 8.33% or 4.76 degrees slope
middle: 0.35 meters (distance to the street 5.8 meters) -> 6.03% or 3.45 degrees slope
right: 0.2 meters (distance to the street 5.5 meters) -> 3.63% or 2.08 degrees slope
What do you think? Am I worrying unnecessarily? Do you have any suggestions for optimization?
